Hoxworth Blood Center provides high-level, quality laboratory services for hospital customers within, and outside of, our 17 county service area.
Immunohematology Reference Laboratory This AABB accredited reference laboratory provides transfusion support services for our 32 hospital customers in addition to helping meet rare donor requests throughout the nation and the world. To read more, click here.
Transfusion Service The AABB accredited Hoxworth Blood Center Transfusion Service is located at Cincinnati Childrens Hospital and Medical Center (CCHMC) and provides one of kind products to support the infants and pediatric patients population. To read more, click here.
Transplantation Immunology Division This American Society for Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics (ASHI) accredited Transplantation Immunology Division provides testing to support solid organ and bone marrow transplant programs in the Cincinnati area. To read more, click here.
Cellular Therapies Division The Foundation for the Accreditation of Cellular Therapy (FACT) accredited Cellular Therapies Division provides collection, processing, cryopreservation, storage and infusion support for three bone marrow transplant programs. Components Laboratory/Product Management The Components Laboratory is the manufacturing center for all products obtained thru whole blood and apheresis donation. Product Management is responsible for inventory management and distribution to local customers. To read more, click here.
