AS SNOW HITS TRI-STATE, DONORS STILL NEEDED
Monday, Feb 15, 2010 – Like everyone, Hoxworth Blood Center is dealing with the snow that has hit the tri-state yet again. This negatively impacted blood drives last week and our ability to collect enough blood for area hospital patients. It has the potential to do so again this week. Hoxworth Blood Center will remain open and we encourage our blood donors to contact us to find an appropriate place to donate blood, keeping in mind road conditions.
‘BE FEARLESS’ PROMOTION
All donors, Monday, Feb 15 thru Saturday, Feb 20 will be automatically registered to win a pair of Suite Tickets to the SOLD OUT Taylor Swift Concert on March 28th at U.S. Bank Arena. Three winners will be selected, each receiving two tickets: One from a mobile blood drive, one from a neighborhood donor center and one platelet donor.
“Once again, we are dealing with the negative effects of the snow,” said Hoxworth spokesperson Alecia Lipton. “Patients continue to need life-saving blood, no matter the weather conditions. As we stated last week, please be fearless and be a blood donor and you could win tickets to see America’s sweetheart, Taylor Swift.”
