Blood donation has been a part of my life since I was 16. As a medical student, I see firsthand the critical need for blood donations and understand the impact of the nationwide shortage. I began by running and hosting blood drives in high school, which inspired me to start donating myself—and I've never stopped. Receiving a thank you gift is always an unexpected bonus, but the real reward is knowing I'm helping to save lives.

I've been donating blood at Hoxworth for several years now, and it's a quick, easy way to make a big impact. My double red cell donations only take about 40-45 minutes, and I can pass the time scrolling on my phone. Plus, the team at Hoxworth makes the process seamless—it's the easiest blood center I've been with for scheduling. Knowing my donation can save lives keeps me coming back, and the service hours also help with my program.
